Tristan Toynbee – Managing Director
MEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE MFPWS
Tristan is the founding director of Toynbee Associates Ltd and a Chartered Structural Engineer with the IStructE, bringing 23 years of experience across the UK, Russia, and Kazakhstan. His career began at Arup, before founding Toynbee Associates in 2008.
Tristan is also a qualified party wall surveyor and member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and the Pyramid and Thisbe Society. He is passionate about preserving heritage buildings and revitalizing old structures, with nearly 15 years of expertise in London’s basement construction market.
Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist, having raced mountain and road bikes, and now exploring ultra-endurance cycling events.
George Bryans – Operations Manager
George’s role as Operations Manager has been been instrumental in streamlining internal systems and processes. With a background in charity, hospitality, and furniture sectors, George brings a diverse wealth of experience.
George oversees the operations and administration team, ensuring the smooth running of internal operating systems and coordinating daily operations to ensure our clients have a smooth and positive experience with our services. His dedication to efficiency and developing new systems in the office to improve internal workflows and the customer experience.
Outside of work, George spends most of his time watching or playing sport. He is a keen cricket player and Chelsea FC fan.
Simon Price – Director of Surveying
BSc(Hons) FRICS FFPWS
Simon is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He qualified in 1982 and has over 30 years of experience in practice in London and the Home Counties.
He is also a fellow and Regional Director of The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, an educational organisation to improve practice in Party Wall matters.
Simon is a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club, named after the lovers in A Midsummers Night’s Dream who were separated by a wall. The club aims to promote a wider knowledge of party wall legislation. “Drama is central to the public’s perception of party wall disputes,” says Simon. “But as experts, there is no mystery; we are familiar with all aspects of the law”.
Faye Galligan – Principle Party Wall Surveyor
BSc (Hons) ICIOB MPTS
Faye graduated from London South Bank University gaining a First Class degree. She is an incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Building, a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Constructors, having won the Constructors Price in 2009.
Faye started her career working in the city of London before founding her own company which ran successfully for 15 years. Faye joined Toynbee Associates as the Principal/Head of the Party Wall Surveying department in 2024. Faye has a wealth of experience in this niche industry, strengthening the company to be a leader in the field.
Raveen Rasheed – Senior Engineer
BEng(Hons) MSc GIStructE
Raveen is a skilled Structural Engineer specialising in new build and refurbishment projects, temporary works design, and structural surveys. With both a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Raveen brings a strong academic foundation to each project, as well as a friendly and considerate approach to teamwork. Passionate about collaborating with architects, builders, and clients, Raveen enjoys developing sound, cost-effective, and easy-to-build Structural solutions that meet the unique needs of each project.
Juliana Prenga – Engineer
BEng(Hons) MSc
Juliana moved to London in 2017 from Greece to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Juliana’s career as an engineer started at London Structures Ltd, a construction company based in Fulham. With a Civil Engineering degree, Juliana is a perfect fit at TA. She has worked on a variety projects from simple loft conversions to complex basements excavations.
Juliana is on track to becoming a Party Wall Surveyor and member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.
In her free time, Juliana enjoys swimming and wishes to explore more of the English heritage.
Jess Sauter – Office Manager
As the Office Manager at Toynbee Associates, Jess plays a key role in managing client and partner relationships, overseeing general office administration.
Before joining TA, Jess helped launch multiple hospitality sites after relocating to the UK. Jess also brings experience from a previous career as cabin crew, complemented by a diverse educational background: an Honours degree in Fine Art and a PGCE.
Originally from South Africa, Jess has a passion for the outdoors, a love for swimming and rowing, and a deep appreciation for art and animals.
Victoria Barbour – Office Manager (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Victoria graduated in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Public Relations and then went on to teach English in South Korea for a year before returning to the UK to enter the world of Beauty and Fashion where she worked for brands such as Calvin Klein, La Prairie and Clive Christian.
Peggy – Chief Wellness Officer
Peggy is our Chief Happiness Officer, with a mane of silky blonde fur and eyes that can melt even the hardest of hearts. Her gentle nature and wagging tail bring warmth to everyone she meets!
